Government guidance on workplace menopause support recommends understanding the issues within your organisation before deciding what action to take. One of the simplest ways to start is to ask your employees.
We've created a ready-to-use 2-minute employee survey to help you understand what your workforce already knows, where they may need more support and what they would actually be likely to use.

It gives you a simple starting point for identifying gaps before investing time or money in new workplace initiatives.
The 5 simple questions explore:
Employees' understanding of menopause, periods and menstrual-cycle difficulties
Whether they know what workplace support is already available
The types of information and support they would find useful
How they would prefer to access support
Whether being able to book directly with an external provider would make them more likely to use it
The Employment Rights Act 2025 (ERA2025) and new Equality Action Plan (EAP) guidance are increasing the focus on practical menopause support at work.
For organisations with 250+ employees, Equality Action Plans are currently voluntary and are expected to become mandatory from spring 2027, subject to secondary legislation.
For smaller organisations, existing employment responsibilities still apply, while the government's menopause action plan outline provide a useful framework for reviewing the support already in place.
The EAP guidance also recognises that some approaches to menopause support may benefit employees experiencing wider menstrual-health challenges, including endometriosis, fibroids and PMOS (previously known as PCOS).
